'The Instrumentaline'

 La Instrumentalina is a short novel by the Portuguese writer Lidia Jorge in which a bicycle serves as a pretext to show the daily life of a peasant family in which the women have been left alone with their children, while their husbands have left.
 
 This novel, translated for the first time into Spanish, allows us to discover the work of this author who is little known in Colombia and who is one of the most important writers in current Portuguese literature.
